A Message from Our CEO, Sean LaCon

July 17, 2009

BMI is on schedule to complete our first grant in New Jersey by the end of August, 2009.  We are quickly being recognized as a major employment and vocational service non-profit in New Jersey.  Our success has lead to a new grant awarded to BMI by Goodwill Industries Inc. entitled The Prisoner Re-entry Initiative (PRI).  It will also allow BMI to establish a Mentorship Program to support the project.  We are also negotiating a few new contracts with the City of Newark.

BLESSED MINISTRIES INC has been officially approved for an employment services grant in New Jersey.  This grant is scheduled to begin on May 1, 2009. The scope of the grant is to provide Employment Services to various populations residing in New Jersey.  BMI is the lead agency.

In addition, we will be working with employers located in New Jersey by assisting them in identifying prospective employees and resources available that will assist them in hiring individuals who are receiving services from various programs funded through government contracts. Currently, BMI has a contract in New York to work with refugees and low income individuals.
